Dr. Gabriel is pleased to be practicing medicine in Long Beach, where she was born. A lifelong Californian, she graduated from Huntington Beach High School before moving north to attend the University of California, Berkeley. She graduated from Berkeley with high distinction and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and a minor in Education.

After her undergraduate work, Dr. Gabriel went on to assist with clinical research trials in the Department of Rheumatology at UCLA Medical Center. At UCLA, she gained knowledge and a sense of appreciation for the immune system and its effect on other organs systems, including the skin.

She went on to study medicine at the University of California, San Diego, where she was awarded several scholarships and senior medical student awards upon graduation. She was the recipient of the Fretom Research Award which is given to one outstanding student each year.

After medical school, Dr. Gabriel completed an internship in Internal Medicine at the University of California, San Diego Medical Center. She then moved to Los Angeles, where she joined the USC Department of Dermatology for 3 years and completed her dermatology residency. While in residency, she enjoyed teaching and mentoring medical students. She served as Chief Resident during her senior year and was also a medical student instructor for the Pathology of the Skin course at the USC School of Medicine.

Dr, Gabriel is featured in a national Neutrogena commercial for a new line of acne products. She has a keen interest in helping acne patients achieve clear skin and renewed confidence. Her sensitive and warm bedside manner coupled with her passion for mentoring young people has made her a favorite among the youth.

Dr. Gabriel has been practicing at Ulmer Dermatology for three years and has added a youthful, enthusiastic and professional presence to the office. She is extremely loyal to her patients and goes above and beyond in educating and guiding her patients into improving all aspects of their skin.
